Plum of London

Plum of London Alpaca Cowl c/o, Acne jacket, Lancôme Absolue Bx Day Cream, Topshop Joni jeans, Clarks boots.
When not in London, I spend a lot of time in Kent where I grew up. Living between the countryside and the city often means foregoing trend-based labels for good quality items that will last through a long hike as well as they would the morning rush commute. Plum of London is a sustainable luxury knitwear brand ethically sourced, and made in Britain. It's not often that a product that speaks to me both ethically and ethnically- being Peruvian. But after coming across Plum of London and seeing that all their products were made from Royal Alpaca wool, messages started flying back and forth between their team and I.
I received this blue Alpaca Cowl just in time for the weekend (along with some other goodies, coming soon...) and knew we had to test it out, and so instructed Fenech to take me somewhere new, and we started our hour and a half long walk- dipping through secret parks and passageways. So let me tell you a little bit about Alpaca wool, it is durable, hypoallergenic, water-resistant, and does not pill. Only 1% of Alpaca wool fibre qualifies as Royal Alpaca wool, making it a worthy competitor to cashmere in terms of exclusivity, lustre, and softness.
The basket weave stitch insulated heat well, and since it was on a cowl style it could be left loose around the neck or be wrapped around two-three times, in an attempt to control fluctuating body temperature during this weekend's cold front/ warm weather. I should probably have added by this point that the walk could have quite easily been half an hour long, but Fenech was kind enough to give me a tour of his favourite childhood hangout spots.
Get my Alpaca Cowl* available in blue (pictured), red, and peach. If you'd rather a snood than a cowl, then I also really like this ribbed snood available in red and orange. A hat and snood gift set available in orange and blue, would make a great present for a significant other; or even as a his and hers mix-and-match present for the upcoming festivities. I really love that each item comes individually wrapped, and that gift wrapping is included with every order.
