LC:M Day 1- London Collections: Men SS16

London Collections Men has returned to London for its Seventh season. Here's your look at Mens SS16 Day 1, starting with Topman as the opening show.
TOPMAN DESIGN
Bonus Points for mix and matching suits and tracksuits. Minus those points for potentially making tracksuit cut-offs a thing.

CRAIG GREEN
Craig Green revisited some of his signature pieces in statement colours. The classic work-wear padded jacket was featured in green and orange. Trousers were worn cropped and wide legged, to complement shrunken jumpers. An interesting twist was to feature martial arts inspired outfits.

COTTWEILER
Models were in uniforms of white and creams in lightweight, bonded fabrics. The collection consisted of every possible item, from knickers to jackets, and finishing in backpacks.

UNIVERSAL WORKS

NASIR MAZHAR

AQUASCUTUM MEN'S
Adopting a more feminine feel for SS16. Highlights were the geometric prints and brown 3d elements on suits.

CHRISTOPHER SHANNON
Fine knits, mesh and jerseys mixed with shorts. The sportswear theme continued through various shades of fluoro, and various vibrant monochromes.

PRIVATE WHITE V.C
Tones of creams, greys and pale suedes took over the showing. What seemed to be a brief of maximalist Safari/ Military/ Rock 'n' Roll, turned out to be a minimalist and tasteful showing of khaki luxe pieces, shaped in classic silhouettes.

KIT NEALE
Long colourful jackets, realised hot pink, green, yellow, orange, and tangerine dreams. Vibrant colours aside, the lavishness of the outfits really played with the street wear/urban theme we see in some pieces.

TODD LYNN
A covetable sci-fi attitude ridden show. It seemed the Todd Lynn memo was "sharp, structured, and tailored". The standout piece was without a doubt the belted kimono.

ALEX MULLINS
Inspired by a child-like aesthetic, the label worked outside the box to reimagine ways to wear, as shown in their creation of jackets as trouser/skirts. White denim and drawn on breton stripes never looked so good.
